  What is
Improvisational theater?

Improvisational theater is a series of comedy sketches and spontaneous theater games performed live with help from the audience in the form of suggestions and ideas.

Improv has been the training ground for hundreds of well-known actors and the seed for many TV shows (Saturday Night Live, SCTV, Monty Python, Whose Line Is It Anyway?). This exciting form of live entertainment is being performed in various clubs and theaters across the country.

A team of actors take the stage performing quick sketches. A director keeps the show moving by having the actors work out various scenes (or games) with the audience's help.

Now The Around the Bend Players are proud to bring improvisational theater back to the Toledo area.

This fast-paced 1 to 2 hour show is a little like theater and a little like stand-up comedy

- only completely different!

It's completely original, unpredictable and 100% fun.

Because it is improvisation, each Around the Bend show is completely different from any previous Around the Bend show. It's entertainment that is suitable for any age, type of audience, or venue and can be tailored to your particular group.

The Around the Bend Players Improvisational Theater Troupe is currently available for corporate meetings, office gatherings, private parties, school performances, nightclub and restaurant entertainment and almost any occasion that can use an unique form of entertainment.

We can meet with you to discuss tailoring a show especially for your audience.
