Shelly McCarty

SHELLY McCARTY's childhood dream was to entertain audiences through music, comedy and acting, so she began to pursue it, literally, as a child! She began singing in front of people at age 9, acting by age 16 and doing stand up by age 17. She reports that being on stage feels "like being home" and since pole dancing wasn't an option, those venues had to suffice her craving for audience attention.

Her adult career includes professional improv in South Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas, as well as performing as a stand-up comedian. She even created the comedy showcase "Laughs at the Beach" which was the longest running off-strip comedy show in Las Vegas. Her music career includes lead singer in the Las Vegas cover band "Misbehavin' and she recorded a CD of original music in 2006. She was also the President of the Performers Art League in Tahoe where she produced and performed in a series of variety shows as well as authored the play "Group Therapy". Shelly recently returned from her western adventures to her hometown of Toledo, Ohio for another dose of midwestern therapy as well as to practice pole dancing.
